Juan Manuel Robles Ron, better known by his stage name, The Don Ron, is an unsigned rapper, music producer, sound engineer, and entrepreneur. He was born in Chicago, IL to a Mexican-American father and a Mexican mother.
While rapping to entertain relatives, his cousins gave him the nick name "The Don Ron". The idea of "The Don Ron" came from his maternal grandfather. His grandfather was known as "Don Nicholas Ron," near the city of Guadalajara, Mexico.
Growing up, his mother, close friends, and relatives exposed him to many different musical genres. As a child, he listened to various artists ranging from R. Kelly to Vicente Fernández to Tupac Shakur. Inspired by a Cash Money Records music video, The Don Ron started rapping to entertain his Junior High School friends at the age of 14. He continued to rap for leisure until he moved to San Antonio, Texas in July 2005, where he began to develop his artistic talent. As he saw his lyrical skills improving, he ventured out to music production and composition. After mastering his skills in those new areas of the music field, he began self-producing, composing, and writing original work in early 2007.
The Don Ron has self-produced countless numbers of original songs and prepares to release them soon. He has performed many songs from his current project at numerous venues in San Antonio, Dallas, and in Chicago.
His lyrical style is similar to East Coast acts such as Fat Joe and 50 Cent.
